Founder’s Story

Exquisite Boxing was founded by Elvis Makoda, a boxing coach, athlete, and former competitive fighter dedicated to helping people train with confidence, discipline, and the right equipment.

Elvis spent over 10 years competing as an amateur boxer and more than 6 years boxing at professional level, gaining first-hand experience of the demands the sport places on both athletes and their equipment. Throughout his competitive career, he saw how the quality, condition, and reliability of training gear could directly impact performance, safety, and long-term development.

After transitioning into coaching and delivering boxing programmes within gyms, schools, and community settings, Elvis noticed a recurring challenge — many athletes were training with worn-out or unsuitable equipment simply because they were unsure when to replace it or lacked access to dependable gear. This often affected performance and increased the risk of avoidable injuries.

Exquisite Boxing was created to change that.

The brand was built around a simple belief: every boxer, at every level, deserves safe, performance-ready equipment designed for real training environments. By combining professional fight experience with years of coaching insight, Exquisite Boxing focuses on delivering equipment that meets the practical needs of athletes who train consistently.

Beyond equipment, the mission extends to supporting the wider boxing community. Through responsible gear return, donation, and recycling initiatives, Exquisite Boxing helps ensure usable equipment reaches grassroots programmes while reducing unnecessary waste across the sport.
